Is it your reunion year?
If you graduated in a year ending 2 or 7, it is time to come home to Western. The Department of Alumni Relations & Development can help you plan a successful reunion during Homecoming Weekend: Sept. 27-30, 2012. To get started, click here to view the Reunion Planning Guide.
Get ready to celebrate our Homecoming tradition!
As we get ready for Homecoming 2012, I recall with fondness my own Western experience. I think of the beautiful campus, the lasting influence of world–class faculty, and of working hard and having fun. This was a time of incredible growth, a period of my life when I developed critical thinking skills...and life–long friendships.
As a mature student, graduate and former staff member of the University, and as an alumni volunteer and member of the London business community, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with many Western students. I’m impressed by their energy, ideas and enormous potential. I appreciate what a quality university education afforded me, and I believe strongly in what it can do for them. We will all benefit from their higher education.
Just as generous alumni supported us, it is important that we, in turn invest in today’s students. There are many essential resources, beyond the cost of tuition that need to be in place for these young people to compete and succeed on a global level.
I encourage you to join me in a Homecoming tradition – a special reunion gift in support of any of the priority projects listed on the right panel of this page. By making this commitment, you can “pay forward” the opportunities others ensured were there for you, and make a lasting difference in the lives of many students.
Thank you for considering this wonderful opportunity to be purple, proud and part of tomorrow by supporting our students today. I look forward to seeing you at Homecoming 2012, Sept. 27–30.
Get Ready!
